Strength and Conditioning Programs

Planning, knowledge and logic ensure maximum results

Although throughout the years we have seen many fads come and go in fitness training, real strength and conditioning as a science and a practice has continued to develop and be applied to elite sport.

While many fitness professionals continue to base their sessions on the latest training tool or methodology, my strength and conditioning programs are based on sound planning; taking into consideration the individual client and working through the various phases of training (periodisation) to ensure optimal results (periodisation splits your training into specific segments, allowing your athletic ability to peak when you want it to, and recognises the importance of recovery phases to compliment strength and speed training).

I have many years experience working with a broad range of clients, from those competing at a club level to elite sports men and women. I value the importance of attention to detail and planning, and firmly believe that as a strength and conditioning coach I must be able to explain and justify my methodology.

My strength and conditioning programs focus on areas such as agility, endurance, strength training, speed training, flexibility, recovery and injury prevention, management and rehabilitation for the purpose of enhanced athletic performance during competition.

In all of the above areas I consider posture, joint control and range of movement (ROM) as three very important components that improve you body’s chance to work at its optimum. Therefore, I place a great importance on training and teaching these 3 components.
